Mark Ruloff is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and an Enrolled Actuary. Mark is a member of the Pension Practice Council and the Chair of the Joint Academy/Society of Actuaries Task Force on Financial Economics and the Actuarial Model.

Mark is a Director, Asset Allocation in the Watson Wyatt Investment Consulting Practice. Mark graduated from Lebanon Valley College where he passed his first actuarial exam as a freshman and majored in Actuarial Science. He has over 20 years of experience working for such firms as The Travelers, Mercer, and Ernst & Young.

Mark has written over ten articles and manuscripts, including: “Pension Plan Asset Allocation Optimization”, Financial Technology, a Publication of Institutional Investor, Inc., June 1999, “Asset and Risk Allocation in Pension Plans”, Contingencies, July/August 1999, “Letting Financial Economics Drive the Development of Transparent Accounting And Contribution Requirements”, Society of Actuaries, June 2003, and “Is Dynamic Asset Allocation Always a Good Move?”, Contingencies, May/June 2004. He is known worldwide and has been quoted by other actuaries in the North American Actuarial Journal, The Actuary in the UK, and Actuary in Australia.

Mark is a frequent speaker and has spoken at Institutional Investors meetings, Society of Actuaries meetings, Enrolled Actuaries meetings, Association of Financial Professionals meetings, UBS PaineWebber’s Masters Level 500 Program, Conference of Consulting Actuaries meetings, Palmer & Cay Consulting Group Professional Development Seminar, and State Street’s Client Conference.
